Hillary Clinton: the Clear Frontrunner

10/13 Democratic Presidential Debate

On Wednesday October 13th, Hillary Clinton pulled a surprisingly brilliant performance, quashing the possibility of any other candidate currently running for the Democratic nomination. Hillary’s experiences were evident in knowledge regarding foreign affairs and in debate proficiency; her background in law school and in congress shines, showing her to be not only the most deserving but the most competent contender of the Democrats. Socialist Sanders and meerkat look alike Lincoln Chafee were crushed alike by Hillary’s attacks. Notable performances include Hillary’s tackle of the email issues: intelligently noting it is irrelevant to the betterment of the nation, and that motives of accusations should be examined considering the fuel of attack comes almost entirely from the GOP party. Unfortunately, despite Hillary’s obvious success, CNN discussions after the debate listed Sanders as the clear front runner. One would wonder at the injustice. Perhaps Clinton’s downfall will come for sole reason that she has been in the limelight for too long, rendering her the perfect victim of attack. One discrepancy to note however is Hillary’s claims to reform Wall Street as a rebuttal against Sanders. How can Hillary advocate for Wall Street reform when most of her campaign money comes from the financial monster? When Wall Street giants like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase & Co are aligned behind Clinton, probabilities of actual reform are slim, perhaps even slimmer than Sander’s impractical taxation whims. As of now, Hillary Clinton has no real threat to the nomination. Perhaps Biden, who has a 19 percent stake in an election he is not even participating in, will step up to challenge the iron lady.
